She began her professional career at Heineken Spain, within the Cruzcampo Foundation and the Institutional Relations Department of the multinational. After a stay in Malta at the legal services firm Camilleri Preziosi Advocates, she joined San Telmo Business School as an executive and tutor of the Lydes Programme, directing the Programme in its 6th edition. After that, she began to direct the Executive MBA Programmes and the Specialisation in Corporate Governance at San Telmo Business School. She combines her executive and managerial responsibilities with teaching in the Academic Area of People Management in Organisations, where she gives sessions using the Case Method, lectures-colloquiums and is the author of numerous cases, technical notes and articles.

Carmen has extensive experience, among others, in team management, career development and career guidance of people at different stages of their careers. One of her main lines of research is diversity and inclusion, and she is the author of publications on female managers and new generations.
