Professor Miguel Soto combines his teaching work with business practice in several sectors and positions. In San Telmo he is in charge of the Academic Direction of the BBVA Professorship of Family Business, together with an important activity as a teacher in the specialties of Finance and Analysis of Business Situations. He began his professional career in the field of information technology, where he held various technical and commercial responsibilities. For 7 years he participated as a partner and general manager in an industrial furniture manufacturing project.

He has advised numerous companies regarding the development of business plans, fundraising and mergers and acquisitions, in the food, renewable energy and durables industry sectors. He also supports and accompanies a variety of family businesses in their professionalization plans, preparation of the succession and improvement of corporate governance.
