This case it is a great example of how to embed sustainability in the strategy of a company. Everything fit in perfectly. Sustainability should be incorporated as part and parcel of the business model. This premise is what has enabled the issue of sustainability to become another pillar in the Nespresso strategy. Sustainability is completely integrated in the value chain. Through that strategy, Nespresso focused its integral business management on achieving a sustainable future together. Three aspects were emphasized in all its operations since the beginning: coffee procurement, capsule recycling, and reduced carbon footprint.
