Parmareggio was founded in 1983. In 2004, the Granterre Cooperative Consortium acquired the total capital of the company, promoting a strategic change. In 2016, Parmareggio had become the undisputed leader in its category thanks to its commitment to the integral control of the supply chain, the creation of a brand, and advertising. Also decisive were the company’s innovation processes, aimed at creating new products that would boost opportunities for consumption and differentiate the brand within the Parmesan cheese product category.
