Peñarroya Chair of Tourism on Costa del Sol and Deloitte analyze key performance indicators for hotel investment in Spain


The headquarters of Malaga, of this business school, recently hosted the presentation of the report by Deloitte, in collaboration with the Peñarroya Chair of Tourism on Costa del Sol.

This study, which also reviews the key performance indicators for hotels of the region last year, confirmed the pull of the Coast for investors and highlighted the commitment of major international chains in projects such as the W Marbella, the Vincci Larios Málaga, Ikos Andalusia and the rehabilitation of Don Miguel Hotel.

This report is part of the objectives of the Chair of Tourism, to offer "information on critical issues to have a good knowledge and to make a good diagnostic of what is happening in Spain and the world, in order to make strategic and structural decisions for the enterprise, in the best possible manner”, said Prof. Eduardo Olaya, director of Peñarroya Chair of Tourism on Costa del Sol. He added that the idea is to make two or three analogue sessions each year to address issues related to the main trends of the Spanish tourism sector and more specifically, the Costa del Sol.

José Antonio Farfán, partner of Deloitte; Marc Molas, director of Deloitte Financial Advisory; Patricia Plana, assistant manager of Deloitte; Carlos Calero (Vincci Hotels); Cristina Fernández (COVIVIO, Socimi) and Daniel Rosell (Playa Senator Hotels) also intervened in the event.
