Find out what is FOODepartment

The Department of Food Chain Companies was created in 1984 in order to meet the increasing development training demand in this sector. Some years later, in March 2000, an iconic project was developed and it was called the Institute for the Development of Specialization in the Food Chain (IDECA), with both domestic and international focus. Since then, more than 2,100 alumni have completed a long-term program related to this sector in Instituto Internacional San Telmo.

  • Developing business leadership and management and strategic thinking skills of managers from the food chain through the Case Study Method.
  • Generating practical knowledge through field research and the writing of specialized teaching resources.
  • Maintaining close relationships with leading food chain companies and organizations worldwide.
  • Creating an atmosphere for intellectual challenge and discussion where it is possible to share experiences with the different links of the sector and allow mutual enrichment.
