Juan Pérez Gálvez replaces Antonio García de Castro as General Director of San Telmo

García de Castro will become executive president of San Telmo Business School as a transition to his appointment as president of San Telmo Foundation.

There have been changes in the Board to strengthen the senior management structure and ensure the San Telmo Foundation continuity in the medium and long term:

First of all, Antonio García de Castro will cease as general director to become executive president of San Telmo Business School (San Telmo International Institute), prior to his appointment as president in the near future and replacing Mr. Eustasio Cobreros Vime.

In substitution of Antonio as general director it has been appointed Juan Pérez Gálvez, who for several years was deputy general director and member of the San Telmo Board of Directors since 2013.

Juan made a Master Program in Economics and Business Management at the San Telmo International Institute in 1998 and, since then, he has held senior positions as general manager until he joined San Telmo in 2008.

Since he joined San Telmo, he has been professor of Business Policy and leading responsibilities as director in the Alumni Department, as well as in the Training Department, together, last academic year, with the leadership of the Department of Improvement of the two headquarters. In addition, he has collaborated to expand the agri-food specialization in Portugal, among other activities.

According Antonio García de Castro: "it is a recognition for the work done and thanks to the great management team that San Telmo has." Thus, the first decision made by the new director general, and supported by the executive president, has been to ratify all the members of the Board of Directors. “We want this transition to be a quiet evolution that allows the Foundation a period of consolidation to keep training entrepreneurs and senior managers,” says Juan Pérez Gálvez.

Another organizational change is the approval by the Board of Trustees of five Alumni as new patrons. These are:

José María Bonmatí Pérez (AECOC), ADECA 2005.
María Carmona Béjar (INQUIBA), PIDE 2006, ADECA 2013 y ADEL 2014.
Alberto Manzano Martos (MAPFRE), ADEL 2014 y President of the Agrupación de Miembros (Group Membership).
Jesús Medina García de Polavieja (WILLIAMS & HUMBERT), EMBA 1992, ADECA 2003 y ADEL 2017.
Jesús Porres Ureña (BIDAFARMA), EMBA 2003 y ADEL 2018.

These new members allow the Foundation to have in the Board of Trustees alumni from Barcelona, Extremadura, Madrid, Cadiz, Granada, Seville and Malaga. Once again, the availability and support of the alumni is an example that guarantees the future of San Telmo.

Last, this organizational change has important implications to strengthen the senior management structure and to ensure the continuity of the institution in the medium and long term.
